They were the first to see the war!
24.02.22 is the day when the war began. Everyone remembers this date, but, strangely enough, it started in different ways for everyone. Some people woke up after a phone call from their relatives or neighbours, others were woken up by an air raid alarm, and others by russian soldiers driving past their homes in tanks and already taking over the village. This is exactly what happened in the village of Bilopillia, which is located in Sumy Oblast, almost on the border with russia. They were among the first to be affected by the war and found themselves under full occupation before they even realised what was happening.
And even after the occupiers were driven out of the Sumy region, Bilopillia itself is being terrorised daily by shelling and diversions from the enemy, who are doing everything possible to harm the civilian population of Ukraine.
During our mission in Belopillya, we set up an aid point for the victims and distributed 3,000 food packages.
We thank our friends from Space-Eye and Lands Aid foundation, as well as everyone who helped with donations to pay for the logistics to the village!
